Director of Policy and Public Affairs
Jeffrey joined Working Partnerships USA in December 2016. As Director of Policy and Public Affairs, Jeffrey works align communications, policy development, research and government affairs work across the organization into high impact campaigns.Jeffrey brings two decades of experience in bringing the voice of grassroots leaders into policy making across local, state and federal levels, working for organizations like Oxfam America and the RFK Center for Human Rights, including winning legislation directing billions of dollars towards community-based economic and environmental recovery after the BP Oil Spill. Since joining Working Partnerships USA, Jeffrey helped lead campaigns to win one of the largest community benefits deal in our nation’s history surrounding Google’s planned Downtown West campus, long fought for eviction protections for San José tenants and create the Office of Labor Standards Enforcement. Jeffrey serves as a Trustee on the Luther Burbank School District and the first Chair of San José’s Community Stabilization and Economic Opportunity Fund. While not a San José native, Jeffrey shows love for his adopted community in many ways, including through a tattoo of San José City Hall. In his spare time he enjoys hiking and camping with his son Joaquin, barbequing, and watching lucha libre.
