On Monday more than 150 people packed Gardner Community Center in San Jose to air their concerns about Google’s proposed mega-campus project.
We heard loud and clear your worries about sky-rocketing rents and uncertainty over whether Google would create good jobs for local people.
We invited Google to take part but – for the third time – they didn’t show. We need to step up the pressure.
We need to make sure that our community has a seat at the table as our City Council negotiates Google’s expansion into San Jose. This project will affect us all – but so far the discussions have been behind closed doors. We need to make sure our community has a real voice in this project.
